A safe

It all started with a normal fishing trip where we we trying to catch fish, but just for fun, we also brought our magnets if we wouldn't catch any fish. After some hours of normal fishing, we decided to start magnet fishing instead. That resulted in the most exciting catch I have ever caught while I have been magnet fishing. I caught something very heavy on my magnet, but I kept losing what was on the magnet. I got my friend to help me. If we lifted the square object we had caught above the water level, we would lose it again and again. Therefore we lifted the item up till just below the surface (We were magnet fishing from a bridge), and walked to the shore of the river. From the shore, we were able to lift the square object to land, and we now saw, that it was a safe which had been forced open by cutting the door off of it. Unfortunately  the safe had been opened, but it was still pretty exciting to catch something which might had been related to a crime.

Rapala fishing knife

Normally I go magnet fishing in big fresh water lakes, but three times I have been near the ocean and decided to go magnet fishing.  One time in the summer, I caught the Rapala knife below, I cleaned it up and I am now using it when I go normal fishing.

A Bench!!!

The bench was one of the most fun catches we have made when we have been out magnet fishing. Just as with the safe. we kept dropping the thing at the end, Therefore we used two of the large magnets and one small magnet, all neodymium magnets to get what was at the end of the line up to the surface of the water. When it reached the surface, we could see it was one of the park benches which is lined up around the lake. We grabbed the bench and pulled it on shore. We didn't really know what to do with the bench, so we just left it there, and a few days later, I saw an old couple sit on the bench when I came by.

Double bike magnet fishing find

This was a really fun magnet fishing find. When we pulled up the first bike, we saw that another bike was stuck to the handle of the first one, so we got two bikes in one catch. Also there were a lot of fishing tackle stuck on the bikes which I could bring home.

One of the magnet fishing finds which made us think what was going on in our neighborhood, these were found 1000 meters from where we live and it is kind of scary to think that someone are using these that close to where we live.
